Heat of Summer

Well, lets try this again! I had my post all ready to publish, when our electricity went off for an hour and a half from a thunder storm and I lost everything!
We have been having lots of storms lately. It has been so hot, record heat for June since 1800's, so storms are quick to pop up.
The heat killed off my green beans, so I had a bad crop. We are going to plant for a fall crop. We planted a second corn crop that is already three inches high.

Rissa likes to play in the water, I mean, rinse the dishes too. (:

I think Treyton enjoys all the kisses he gets! (:

Treyton is 14 weeks old already!

Since it is so hot, the girls wait till the evening to go out and play.

I could not resist this shirt!

Treyton does not really like his jumper yet. He is usually more interested in the black and white creature staring at him. (it is a zebra)

Rissa likes to take her turn too, Treyton is not usually impressed. When she does manage to get the bottle in his mouth, she pushes it in a little hard. (:

Happy Father's Day

Around the beginning of the new year, David felt that it was time for a job change. His truck driving job at the farm was not family friendly, and they would not be cooperative for him to go into the prisons. Soon after, Gospel Express, contacted him and asked him if he would be interested in teaching Anger Resolution seminars in the prisons. Teaching was what he was hoping to get into anyway, so he was excited about it. So he left his truck driving job, and went back to building storage barns. This week he has three days of training at the prison to learn how to teach. He is scheduled to teach two different seminars in the next few weeks. So, please keep him in your prayers and also pray for the inmates he will be teaching.

I have been blessed with a wonderful husband, and Father of our children!

We had a fun visit with David's cousin from Tennessee and his family. The girls had a blast with their second cousins!

Rissa decorated Treyton with some stickers

Best Buds!

Good Morning!

The girls helped David dig all the potatoes. It was a very hot afternoon, but they made him proud with how well they helped!

A Recipe to Share

Recipe for a Boiling Wife

Take: 1 cool, fresh, good-natured wife
Add: 4 small children
1 yelping dog
1 cranky neighbor
Stir. Blend in equal parts of heat humidity, dust and stale air. Bast with annoying interruptions, spilled milk, skinned knees, washing that won't wait, a pile of ironing to do, and jelly smeared on the floor. Top with a splitting headache. Let simmer in 98* house for 10 hours or until boiling point is reached.

I apologize that I don't have more pictures. My camera has been having this problem of eating my pictures. They are gone when i go to put them on the computer. ):

Treyton is 3 months old!

Having quiet time

I would not say I am sleep deprived since he sleeps all night, but the shirt is cute anyway. (:

Yes, we are still here

I know, a new posting has been way over-do! I suddenly realized it has been a week and a half since I last posted, Sorry!
My green beans are in full production right now. We are also enjoying fresh cucumbers too.
I was thinking recently how much Motherhood is like gardening. We labor over our little "''plants'' making sure they have what they need to grow properly, keeping them free of ''weeds'', in some cases, pruning, and so on. And if all is done properly, one day we will enjoy the fruits/results of our labor. It is not without its challenges, but worth every minute! Some days I feel like locking myself in a quiet room for a moment of peace, but I know someday, I will be wishing for the noise, toys to be tripped over, juice to wipe off the floor, settling arguments, reeking diapers to change and so on. I love my babies!

David calls this Treyton's Grandma Heisey smile (:
