Visitors and Happy Birthday Jenny

We had a fun last weekend. David's three sisters came to visit. We had a wedding at church, Marcia was also invited, so we left ALL the kiddos with Nitz, and Mance. It has been ??? since we went to a wedding alone!
When we got home we had a surprise waiting for us! While we were at the wedding, David's Dad and Mom came and were waiting for us at home! What a nice surprise!

Late night snack

Treyton was his friendly little self. (:

With some help, the girls finally have gotten a little leaf pile (:

One evening David gave bike rides to those who wanted one.

Jenny turned five on the 15th, but we had her party Sunday night. She thought it was great to have Grandpa, Grandma and Aunts here for that!

Grandma had also made a cake for Jenny

Anxiously waiting for the highlight of her day, present time!!

HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY JENNY!

Our Trip to Outer Banks

We had a great time in Outer Banks! The weather was a little chilly and it rained a couple times, but it was still fun! Thanks Dad and Mom for the great vacation!

This was the view we had from our motel room. Each room had their own little deck which was nice.

The guys went fishing the first day. I think they were a little disappointed, they only got 4 fish.

While the guys went fishing, we went shopping at a close by outlet mall. We also went to some souvenir shops, since it is off season, the shops had everything 50% off!

After a busy day of shopping, we went out for ice cream.

The girls had fun watching the water from our deck.

Chillin' on Grandpa's deck

One day we went to the "Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum". It was about Pirates and sunken ships, very interesting!

We took a ferry ride from Hatteras Island to Ocracoke Island. It was a 40 minute ride. It was interesting to see the other island that was pretty much a fishing town. I don't think I would like to live that way.

Our destination- Ocracoke Island

We had fun walking the beach and looking for shells.

The girls like to see how close they could get to the water. Amber found out the hard way why she was not to get too close when she got washed in and thought she was a goner!

Rissa like to find the smallest shells.

Treyton did very well being drug around and not getting his sleep.

We also went to the "Wright Brothers Memorial and Museum". It was VERY Windy and cold, so we did not hike up to the Memorial.

Rissa was paranoid of the seagulls, but she had fun feeding them some Honey Bun off our deck.

Our last night, already!

We had a very interesting trip home to say the least! About two hours into our trip we realized our radiator sprung a gushing leak! We found a garage, but they did not have the part, so we limped home stopping to add gallons of water every so often. If that was not enough, when we were 20 minutes from home, we got a flat tire! Since our spare was also flat, we had to sit and wait an hour for a repair man to come. Thankfully we had renewed our AAA membership!
So, our trip home was 5 extra hours!

Rissa got tired of waiting for our tire to get fixed.

The repair man had a noisy air pump. (:

Jenny helped to clean out the van, which gets very messy on a trip!

Outer Banks Continued

After I made the last post,, I realized I forgot some pictures, so it was easier to just make another post.

Treyton had fun getting to know Uncle Brandon. (and the others, he actually did not want to come to me when Grandma had him! )

Treyton thought it was fun exploring new territory.

One evening, Jenny got to open early birthday presents!

Doing a puzzle Daddy bought for them.

Outer Banks, here we come!

We are looking forward to going on vacation! We are leaving for Outer Banks North Carolina tomorrow afternoon!! We will be there till Sunday! We plan to meet my parents and brother and sister there too. We are all very excited for a vacation and anxious to see my family again!

David has been busy but having fun clearing trees off our property. It has added  almost a half acre that we hope to turn into lawn.
He was like a little boy with a new toy in a huge sandbox! (:  [until he pulled our phone lines out of the ground! (: ]

The girls got to help with clean-up work

You can tell between this picture and the next how much was cleared away from the back, the woods used to come all the way to the swings.

Rissa helped too, for a little while!

Treyton after a hard day of eating, crawling, growing and exploring!
